Litter Pick Brings Big Results and Plenty of Laughs

A fantastic turnout of 25 members gathered recently for a club litter pick, proving that a little

teamwork can go a long way—not just for the course, but for club spirit too.

Armed with bags, gloves, and plenty of enthusiasm, volunteers spread out across the course

and surrounding areas, tackling everything from stray wrappers to hidden debris. The results

were impressive, with a significant amount of litter collected and the course left looking

cleaner and more welcoming for members and visitors alike.

The morning wasn’t just productive, it was also full of good humour. Spirits were high

throughout, with plenty of laughs shared along the way. One memorable highlight came

when the captain, fully committed to the task, took an unexpected tumble into a bush, much

to the amusement of those nearby. Thankfully, no harm was done—apart from perhaps a

bruised ego!

Events like this are a great reminder of what makes our club special: a strong sense of

community, willingness to pitch in, and the ability to have a good laugh while doing

something worthwhile.
