This year the club made a long term commitment to encouraging as many youngsters as possible to play the game. Offering free lessons at the weekends, appointing a committed junior organiser and adding family friendly golf events to the club calendar.
The turn out to yesterday's Adult Junior competition showed that the hard work and dedication of the junior team is really paying off.
12 pairs took part in a two man scramble with our beginners playing from the newly installed blue tees. Despite the windy conditions the afternoon saw some incredible scores coming in with Simon Clarke and his son taking the first prize.
We would like to thank Mark and Sonya for supplying the prizes and Alan for the scoring and presentation. We look forward to another Adult Junior event in the summer holidays, at Christmas and to seeing the junior section continue to grow and thrive in the months to come.
Junior lessons are available every Sunday with equipment provided. 10:30am for ages 10 and under and 10 and above 11:30am.
