Caister Pairs

A mighty 104 players of 52 pairs took on the old girl on February 15th in conditions that left her at the mercy of golfers hungry to shoot high. Add that to greens that were slick and fast, probably unsurpassed anywhere at this time of year and it made for an interesting competition

This month did not disappoint prizes went down to 10th place with no less than 8 teams scoring 43 points, 4 teams scored 44 points second place was 45 points and the winners shot 46 points. High scoring indeed!

Our Captain Peter Munford was on hand to present the prizes to the winners David Bane and Tim Oxborough and the professional winner Will Harold who shot a great 67.

The real winners on the day were the 104 golfers who played in nigh on perfect conditions after the fog had threatened to do its worse!

Our thanks to everyone that makes this event such a success, to everyone that played, well done and Congratulations to all of the winners.

See you again in March, Tim
